Welcome to Shining Light Christian School! We are delighted to guide you through our admissions process. Here, we nurture a safe and loving environment for preschoolers aged 3 years to 2nd grade, emphasizing the importance of character building through our Christian values.

1. Submit an Application

Complete and submit the student application along with the $100 non-refundable application fee.

2. Schedule an Enrollment Meeting

Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule an enrollment meeting with the Principal. Both parents

(or legal guardians) and the prospective student are required to attend this meeting.

3. Complete the Admissions Assessment

As part of the admissions process:

The prospective student will complete an in-house academic assessment.
Please submit teacher recommendation(s) and report cards from the student's current or previous school, if available.

4. Admission Decision

After reviewing the application, meeting, assessment results, and supporting documents, we will notify you of the admission decision.

If your child is accepted, the following will be required to secure enrollment:

Payment of the non-refundable enrollment fee.
Payment of the first month's tuition.

Important Considerations

First-Come, First-Served: Student acceptance is processed in the order received.

Securing Your Spot: To officially secure a classroom placement for your child, you must complete the registration form and submit all associated enrollment fees.

Waitlist: Once a classroom reaches maximum capacity, remaining applicants will be placed on a waitlist. Our administration will contact you immediately should a vacancy open.

ENROLLMENT & ADMISSION
We accept students of any race, color, or ethnic origin.

ENROLLMENTS: Age requirement by September 30. Preschool admits on a rolling basis via Brightwheel. Elementary applications open in October; assessment required.

SPECIAL NEEDS: SLCS does not currently have a designated special education program or specialized resources to address special needs.

POTTY TRAINING POLICY
All children enrolled in the K3 program or above must be fully potty-trained before attending school. Children must be consistently accident-free and independently recognize and respond to the need to use the restroom.

RE-ENROLLMENT
SLCS uses a “continuous enrollment” model. Enrollment fees for the following school year will be billed on February 1st and due on February 15th.

FINANCE POLICY
All tuition and fees are billed through Brightwheel.

Continuous Enrollment Fees:
- Preschool: $350 (Material $200 + Activity $150)
- Kindergarten & Elementary: $550 (Material $400 + Activity $150)
Discounts available for siblings, military/veterans, and full-time pastors.
