Licensing and membership
Shining Light Christian School is fully licensed by the Virginia Department of Education as a child day center, meeting state standards for safety, care, and education.

Shining Light Christian School focuses on whole-child development, nurturing students spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively. Rooted in Psalm 139:14, the school recognizes that every child is uniquely created by God with value and potential. Character development is centered on the Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Through positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and respectful guidance, the school seeks to develop responsible, self-disciplined students who reflect Christ-like character.
