K2 Program

Age Requirement: Students must be 2 years old to begin the program.
Our K2 Program is a structured preschool program designed to support young children's early academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth. Children learn through play, exploration, movement, hands-on experiences, and meaningful relationships in a loving Christian environment. Our goal is to help children develop confidence, independence, and foundational skills as they grow and prepare for the next stage of their early learning journey.

K3 Program

Age Requirement: Students must be 3 years old by September 30 and fully potty trained.
Our K3 Program is a structured preschool program designed to help children grow in their academic, social, emotional, and developmental skills while building confidence and independence. Children learn through hands-on experiences, purposeful play, movement, creativity, and meaningful relationships in a loving Christian environment.K3 provides a strong foundation that prepares children for the K4 program and their continued educational journey.

K4 Program

Age Requirement: Students must be 4 years old by September 30.
Our K4 Program is a structured kindergarten-readiness program designed to help children develop the academic, social, emotional, and developmental skills they need to confidently take their next step into Kindergarten. Through purposeful learning experiences, hands-on activities, and meaningful relationships, children grow in confidence, independence, and a love for learning in a loving Christian environment.

Curriculum

At Shining Light Christian School, we offer a comprehensive and structured curriculum that aligns with early learning standards and integrates a biblical worldview across all subject areas. Our instructional approach emphasizes hands-on learning, project-based experiences, and developmentally appropriate practices designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and foundational academic skills in every student.

Our Core Curriculum Includes:

Bible, Christian Studies, & Social Studies: We proudly utilize the trusted ABEKA curriculum to provide a strong spiritual foundation and a comprehensive understanding of science and social studies.
Language Arts: Through the ABEKA program, students build essential reading, writing, and communication skills.
Mathematics: Starting in K4 and up, we implement Singapore Math to cultivate deep mathematical understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Specials

At Shining Light Christian School, we enrich our core curriculum with special programs designed to foster creativity, physical well-being, and global awareness. Our special offerings include:

Arts & Music: Nurturing creative expression and appreciation through hands-on art projects and musical exploration.
Physical Education: Promoting healthy habits, teamwork, and active movement.
World Languages: Preparing students for a global future with upcoming language tracks in both Korean and Spanish (anticipated for the 2027–2028 academic year).
