🎓 Get Ready for Kindergarten — Parents’ Orientation

Is your child getting ready to start Kindergarten? Join us for our Get Ready for Kindergarten Parents’ Orientation, a special Zoom session designed to help families understand how to build a strong foundation for a successful transition into Kindergarten.

We’ll talk about why the K4 year is so important, what children should be developing before Kindergarten, and how the right balance of academics, independence, social skills, fine motor development, and confidence can help prepare them for this exciting next step.

We’ll also answer questions such as Why Abeka? Why Singapore Math? Why Shining Light Christian School? Learn how our Christ-centered approach combines strong phonics and early literacy, conceptual math and problem-solving, hands-on learning, creativity, and character development to prepare the whole child.

Everyone is welcome! You do not have to be currently enrolled at our school. Our K4 program at Shining Light Christian School is a structured Kindergarten-readiness program designed to help children build the academic, social, and developmental skills they need to confidently take their next step into Kindergarten! 💚💛

🎯 OUR GOAL: READY FOR KINDERGARTEN!

Our K4 students learn and grow through:

📚 Language Arts — Abeka
Phonics, beginning reading, writing readiness, vocabulary, listening comprehension, and early spelling.

✝️ Bible — Abeka
Bible stories, Scripture memory, worship songs, biblical truths, and Christian character development.

🔢 Mathematics — Singapore Math
Hands-on learning that builds number sense, conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

✂️ Fine Motor & Creative Arts
Tracing, cutting, coloring, painting, gluing, crafts, and manipulatives help strengthen the skills needed for writing and independence.

🔬 Hands-On STEAM
Fun activities encourage curiosity, creativity, teamwork, exploration, and problem-solving!
